Bet on NBA with Boston Celtics in Atlanta Hawks

It looks like it’s the last major playoff run for Boston’s “Big Three” when the Celtics open the postseason against hosts the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday. Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett (34 and 35 respectively) are getting longer in gear and more prone to injury distraction, and it goes the same for keeper Ray Allen (36).
Even if the Celtics’ fourth seed has an experiential advantage in the playoffs, it looks like the Atlanta Hawks have the power to send the Celtics off.
The Boston Celtics won two of the three regular season meetings.

The Celtics don’t know the answer if Allen can play until close to match time. The veteran keeper has injured his right ankle and missed the last nine games of the regular season, which was a tragedy for the team.
Pierce sympathized with Allen’s sadness. “It’s always frustrating when you sit outside,” said Pierce. “Ray is one of the big contenders in the league. I’m sure it eats him every day he can’t train and every game he can’t play.”
Pierce left the regular season final with a dislocated left toe but will be ready for the Hawks. Point Guard Rajon Rondo leads the NBA in assists at 11.7 per game.
Atlanta Hawks (40-26)
Atlanta didn’t decline in some suspect fashion after a season-ending injury to All-Star center Al Horford, which was a factor that forward Josh Smith managed to improve his career-best score to 18.8 points to go with 9.6 rebounds. Smith accepted more responsibility as a team leader as well.
“This is definitely a year where I’m productive,” said Smith. “With Al injured, I have to step up as a score leader and become more than a vocal leader. Basically, it just shows everyone what I always have in my game.”
Point guard Jeff Teague will be an important figure as a player who will defend Rondo.
It’s a great game to bet on the NBA today, but don’t forget to bet smart. Enjoy!
